Looked a bit ropey compared to his high standard tonight. Passing was off and a few times he wasn't as commanding in the challenge. Nothing to worry about though, can't be perfect every 3 days, shrug off the sloppiness and full concentration against the dippers.
I think it has something to do with Laporte. Maybe he feels extra pressure with him alongside since he was the man before Dias arrived. Also Zin plays higher up the park so the out ball is easier. Maybe not just a thought.

A few moments of sloppiness, but they tended to be when he wasn’t under direct pressure. A little tiredness creeping in, perhaps? Was hoping that he would get some rest, but when you look at the fixture list in the coming months, and Ake’s continued absence, there are precious few games when he won’t be needed.

Wasn't at his best last night-prob a bit different for him with all the long balls to deal with. Been easy to overlook the fact that he has been imperious playing on his wrong side.

I’m sure that’s one of the reasons Pep is giving Laporte minutes, even in a less preferred position. Dias will need a break at some point

I must be missing something, I thought he was fine last night. And his passing may not be as perfect as Laporte's or Stones' yet, but honestly, I barely notice that either. Much rather a world-class defender with above-average passing than a decent defender with world-class passing.

Remember, Otamendi was almost thirty when Pep took over and within just over a year his passing was excellent. With the mentality he has, it seems inconceivable that Dias won't reach that level easily.

Got caught on the ball a couple of times early on but after that, his only real errors were when dragged towards the corners because Laporte isn't as familiar with the system as Zinchenko is
