so carried over to next league gameElbowed Giroud on the head 2 minutes into the game to mark territory. That was no accident at all, he was trying to intimidate the frenchman. Such Ramos-esque behaviour can be great, but had it not been so early in the game he would have been sent off.

We don't need the mix and match tinkering anymore, lets just keep playing Laporte and Dias.I really think we have really got something here.
There was one cross where, if we were being 100% picky, we could say he 'could' in a perfect world, have stepped back & marked his man, rather than leaving it to the bloke behind him, but you just can't be 100% perfect, whoever you are.
The instances v Mbappe, he defended exactly as Koulibaly would do: fuck the offside, don't gamble, go with him & defend it & he was quick enough to do it (you would never think so listening to the 'expert' fucking clown).
He is great on the ball, really great, tough as old boots, good in the air & can play on both sides (as they all should be able to do tbf but many can't).
Also, he plays like he's 30 years old & seen & done everything.
I recon, playing on the left, he could get a game out of John Stones too. Brilliant signing.

Walker had a good game, but he still can't defend the crossfield ball - he completely goes to pot.As a centre half in a three, managers will quickly target this weakness. That won't happen.
We need to keep the other two cbs upto speed anyhow, in case of injuries.
Best 2 cbs on show yesterday actually: Dias & Walker.
Food for thought re a back 3.
