Fair enough, I haven't looked through his stats at Benfica. But if it suggests he's a better passer then I'm all the more happy. Just says we already have a top-notch player but there's still more to come.I think this is just a bit of a myth that's developing because it's a nice story to think we signed a Kompany replacement that's defence first and no nonsense.
Dias was involved in the build up of something like 40% of Benfica's goals last year. His passing was one of his standout attributes.
He just hasn't quite shown it here yet, probably because he's just getting his feet under the table, getting to grips with the system etc and of course, he doesn't need to be the main passer from the back.
