Totally agree. That was a performance for the ages. I know we’ve been very good in defence this season, but I cant remember when a City defender made as many blocks and interceptions as Dias did tonight.

I already hope he stays with us for the rest of his career. What a fabulous signing.

This lad would happily die for a clean sheet. No signing has become a fan favourite this fast and he deserves it. He leaves everything on the pitch, he leads the team, he encourages the team, he drives the team. In some ways, he IS the team. This new solidity is all down to the way his desire to defend rubs off on everyone else. And was it me or was he emotional at the FT whistle? The armband is his next season. He is our future Vinnie.
