I love him, but I think he could be better.
He could be as good as anyone at shot-stopping and combined with the defence in front of him and his slightly mad persona, he'd develop an aura like the very best goalkeepers do that almost beats strikers before they shoot.
In those CL games for Benfica the season before he came to us, he was an absolute wall, it was ridiculous. These days it feels like being good is good enough because of his feet.
Hard to say from the outside but you also wonder how much of a role Xabi Mancisidor the GK coach plays. Hart went to shit under him, and most blamed Hart rightly, but I remember David Preece on a podcast saying that Mancisidor let Hart do whatever he wanted in training compared to Massimo Battara (Mancini's GK coach) who was a real disciplinarian and that being the beginning of the end.
It will be interesting to see how things change if Mancisidor leaves with Pep after 10 years at the club.
