That game just sums up Ederson. He makes some good stops and then he just goes and does that. Another one id get rid off.

Bit annoying that even his best save came after he, for some weird reason, didn't run out to get the ball. What the fuck has heppened to him? He used to be spot on with his rushes.

THIS!!! some of the shite being spouted about Ederson on here is bizarre, he kept us in the match and had a decent game, one poor pass out of about 4 million decent ones for us and lads want him gone,

He was man of the match until the poor pass. This fanbase is spoilt and embarrassing, they may as well be rags

Please mate, there is absolutely no point in making big saves if you're going to give it all away with a ridiculous mistake, can any of these multi millionaire pros go 90 minutes without making a brainless mistake to gift the opposition a goal ? just one fucking game ?

It’s his style of playing over the years that has been the difference for us in winning leagues, cups and trebles.
Maybe look at the positioning of his team mates that forced him into a bad pass. Maybe look at the coaches who have coached him to take risks to play out from the back rather than hoof it straight back to the opposition.

You lot, honestly. You very much remind me of the arrogant shite united fans would come out with in the 90’s.

He’s always been a below average shot stopper that has been bailed out over the years by our total dominance as a team.

For all the talk of him being great with his feet, I've never seen a keeper give away more goals with them.

The reason he is a very good goalkeeper and not a great. He hasn't improved his weaknesses in his time with us. Still capable of fantastic saves, incredible calmness and composure but equally prone to complete head loss and rash mistakes. He pulled off some excellent saves tonight but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be expected to do the basics well like calmly kick the ball down field or just slow the game down and play short to a team mate. We were already starting to wobble by that point. He needed to composed things not gift them a goal.

Or make 3 times as many with them ? Never been a more able keeper in this league, in that department. That's for sure.
Lost that edge now but when he had it, we had it.
He's been fucking superb for us. Blessed to have to have had him.
Last gasp save in CL final earns him a platinum pass.
He's had his time though.
Legend.

An assist a season doesn't make up for his weekly clown act. Football is a low scoring game so is about percentages. He costs us far more than he saves us.

A few minutes to go in a huge game we were lucky to be ahead in, just go long to Haaland don't take a stupid risk.

The 3rd it was awful from Kovacic and Lewis but again he comes flying out and gets nowhere near the ball.

He's been the best keeper in the world with the ball at his feet, that's great when you are a dominant team, but when you are no longer a dominant team the deficiencies become costly.

He hasn't but he does now. In the past he's been part of and played his role in one of the best sides ever to play the game.
Without him we'd never have won, in the manner we've won, without him.

I fundamentally disagree with the notion that he was crucial to what we've won.

Guardiola's impeccable coaching means there is always one easy option for a pass from the keeper.

He's cost us as much as he's given us. He repeatedly makes stupid mistakes and decisions and he is an average shot stopper. You can't get away with that at this level.

If you say so.
