I think it’s for the best tbh. I don’t think we’ll dominate games like we used to, (no team in English football history has dominated games like this City) Ederson is a very solid keeper but a few games aside he was never a goalkeeper like Courtois or DeGea where he would make save after save in a game. He’s a ok shot stopper stopper but incredible on the ball and off his line. I think going forward we need a better shot stopper because we will have more shots against us than previous seasons and someone good enough on the ball, doesn’t need to be Ederson level but good enough. Ederson imo, is a top 5 PL goalkeeper of all time due to his influence on the league, and the greatest keeper City have ever had, he’s the “Arsene Wenger” of PL goalkeepers. Maybe not the greatest ever in his position, but He changed the way it’s been done.

Great on the ball, mostly. Best range of passing for any goalie - 100%. But prone to keeping errors and reacts badly to criticism.

That game sums him up really. Brilliant save but then gets beat when he shouldn't
He didn't "keep us in it" he made one good save when it was 0-0, and then made a howler to give them the lead late in the game, he didn't make 5 or 6 saves and prevented us from getting battered.He still kept us in it before the mistake. He isn't a problem.

Kept us in it? He made one save. Keeping a team in it is what Allison did mid week. It’s literally his job to make one save. Maybe even two.He still kept us in it before the mistake. He isn't a problem.
