37 years without a trophy

I cringe when city fans mention this, smacks of desparation. There were two world wars inbetween each lasting 5 years so if you want to be a pendant it's really 27 years.

But in reality who gives a fuck? They've won plenty before and after that just like we will do.

My maths aint the best but...

It says average crowds down to 11,685 during that period which is spot on. If that stat is wrong then please tell me how that particular figure can be "made up" when, from the figures you yourself have just posted, show your average crowd during season 1930-1931 as being, cough cough, 11,685.

If it's a made up figure then I'm sure you'll agree that it's absolutely fucking miraculous that it is the exact same as the real figure...

So your crowds DID fall to 11,685 during your 37-year drought. Thanks for clearing that up.

And as already stated so eloquenty by Dyed Petya in this thread there were football competitions during the wars and the Rags didn't win any of them either.

There's nothing cringeworthy about this whatsoever - they never stop mentioning how long we've gone without winning a trophy but the fact remains that they went longer than 35 years and as such it's a perfect retort.

how can you ignore two world wars ?

Just the same way Utd ignore The Ireland Conflict, the cold war, The Falklands, Gulf Wars 1 & 2, Iraq, Afghanistan ETC ETC.

Football still got played . But that was only if you got out of your armchairs

dont forget the munich survivors, they ignored them too, mind you they did cash in good and proper on the dead.
