You make a good point, but I think that there should be an upper limit on how much wealth one can accumulate and a reasonable base line, below which one can't fall. The gap in the UK is too great.

I can tell you, from experience, even if this is a "weather balloon", it's very much not a normal weather balloon.

A normal everyday use weather balloon will reach a height of about 60000 FT, and then pop due to the pressure differences inside and outside the balloon, now obviously they can make the balloon from thicker material, but they'd also have to have the right amount of helium for it to stay at the same altitude for a long period, and this has been quite a long period flight, and it seems to have been able to manouvre to a degree, so not just the jet stream involved here.

I don't really know why it's become such a hot topic though, as I'm sure the chinese have far better platforms to spy with than a helium balloon.

I hope the US can locate the debris, and find out what was really going on here.

Mollusc has more money than he could spend in a hundred lifetimes, and has grown further detached from reality as his wealth has grown.

If his wealth was capped at 10 billion or even 50 billion, he might not have gone so far up his own arse.
