Bin him off in the summer.

He isn't good enough for City. Never was good enough for City and he's far too injury prone.

We went from Fernandinho to this guy. A massive, massive drop off.

Rodri is going to be burned into the ground because we don't have an adequate backup.

The fact Pep has questioned his lack of professionalism and the fact he couldn't even be bothered to turn up to his unveiling when we signed him suggests he's just not a good fit for us.

A massive mistake buying him. Never wanted him anyway.
Yawn

Yea because stones, Walker, Sterling, foden, Barry…. were/ all terrible. They’ve all been integral to our league winning sides

We’ve also won the league 4 out of the last 5 years with those English players. Sounds like you just don’t like English players

You missed out James Milner and Fabian Delph.

(But fortunately overlooked Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell, Patrick Roberts)

That sums up the majority of Bielsa's squad at Leeds.

Flattered to deceive in the Championship and found out quite quickly at the higher level.

Txiki was robbed.
Very true, Bielsa a superb short term coach who got his players believing they were far better than reality.

Phillips is a decent player for me, nothing more, he will be gone in the summer.

It’s a strange one because it’s not like we saw a quick-profit opportunity. We paid about £45m for him and would be lucky to recoup that right now. Shame really.

I wouldn't mind Phillips sticking around next season but it is going to take a whole preseason to really turn things around.
Agree. I'd keep him and get him on an aggressive programme pre season. The little we've seen has shown he is very good technically, he's just slower than Javi Garcia carrying Rodri around on his back.

I didn't think he was a good signing off the bat. Said he was an average prem midfielder with a few pretty good qualities. That said, he's being criminally under utilised. If anyone can give an actual good argument as to why the no longer tracks back Gundogan should stay on the pitch at 1-0 up and under increasing pressure over bringing this lad on I'd love to hear it. He's a solid ball winner and actually fairly press resistant, from the outside it seems a no brainer, but the stubborn as he is bald Pep seems to know otherwise.

I not really bothered with his lack of speed if we sign Bellingham in the summer

Not a bad option. He has the ability to play accurate balls for Haaland or switch play. Should see him v Bristol. But he needs sub minutes off the bench to get some game time sharpness. Looks like Pep either doesnt trust him or doesnt think he deserves them.

One things for sure, Rodri cant keep playing every minute.

Dont think we will see the best of Phillips this season but i do not doubt his quality , he has had a shit season injury wise and still hasnt had the chance to integrate into our team and tactics , he was deservedly England's player of the tournament at the euro's a couple of season ago. Quite sure he would be starting more games now if it wanst for his 3 month lay-off , i will not be judging his conribution until the end of next season.

Even he knows that will not be the senario, he's blown his chance with his attitude post injury.
I doubt it. I have no doubt that Pep is extremely demanding but I imagine he would also give you a chance. We will see.

He had his chance and he blew it, Pep does not like unprofessional attitudes and Phillips during and post WC seem to have that.
