I like to give Philips his chance to show what he is about next season. Not the first player to need a season. Despite knowing the PL. He might have messed up but he will learn.
Ready to step in for Rodri he is not.

The ball was being played through the midfield, you would of thought he'd come on and help Rodri.

If he can’t get on the pitch for Rodri when we’re 3-0 up at home, then it’s already curtains for him. In the second half we weren’t able to stop them playing through our midfield at times, you’d have thought it was the kind of situation he’s here for. Pep is clearly done with him. I’d love to know what exactly he’s done (or not done) to be hated this much by Pep.

If he was getting minutes but not setting the world on fire I'd be encouraging patience as he learns and grows into his role in this team.

But it seems clear he's nowhere near making it onto the pitch for any significant amount of time. I'm not even convinced he'd see game time if (god forbid) Rodri got injured or suspended. Pep would use other players to cover.

He really needs to be working incredibly hard to try to gain some trust. At the moment it's like he's not even there.
