Won’t get on his back. He shouldn’t be being played on his own in defensive midfield. That’s not what his game is.

You may as well put Cherki there.

His profile is closer to Kev’s in the sense of attacking intent and lack of defensive nous than it is Rodri or Gundo.

How we didn’t know that (presuming we didn’t) when we bought him and how Pep hasn’t realised I have no idea.

As I’ve always said, he can come good but there’s nothing about him to suggest he deserves to play regularly. His “attacking output” is non existent and the compromise of that for non defensive contribution is killing us.
We are quite literally forcing a player who neither wins duels, or tackles or scores or assists into the starting XI
