40M Bid from Corinthians

I am extremely sceptical about this 'bid'. But, if it is genuine, I would take it without hesitation and go all out for Aguero.

I have never believed that City would be inundated with serious interest in Tevez. As a result of a very prolific spell from December 2009 to December 2010, Tevez has been overrated - certainly in terms of his world standing - both by many City supporters and by many English football journalists (who have delighted in portraying City as a one-man-band). I do not believe that the owners and managers of 'top' foreign teams see Tevez in the same light. European clubs are certain now to be wary of a player whose clear modus operandi is to sign a 5 year contract and then press for a move after 2 years (whilst insisting that he has always given 110% for the club and that he will always love the fans) and who has recently reiterated that he may well retire from football in two or three years. Moreover, intelligent managers will surely by now realise that Tevez has recurrent problems with authority figures - in particular, he reacts very badly to being substituted - and that he is inordinately selfish, so much so that he sees other strikers as rivals.

Comparisons with the inflated transfer fees for Torres, Carroll, etc have very little relevance. If City can get a transfer fee for Tevez that is close to the buy-out price for Aguero, that must be a good deal.

bang on the money

Breaking news: Mancio Sports sources understand Corinthians doesnt have nor 4 million

what the hell does this statement mean?

more than a statement that is a request : can you recall me a deal where a brasilian club spent that sort of figures ? thanks in advance.

Do you not read the news Mancio?

Brazil is in the best financial state it has ever been in and their football has been given a huge cash injection..just because it hadn't happened in the past doesn't mean it's not happening now

That's even before you throw that slimeball Kia into the equation

There's no way we're going to get a fee that reflects his real value because of the baggage he brings with him. £40 million at least would represent a profit. A great shame it's going to end this way (there's little doubt he's played a huge part in our progress over the last two years) and yet myself and I'm sure many others never really idolised him in a Goater or Kinky way even though he was clearly a much superior footballer. I watch quite a bit of la liga and We're certainly on the right track chasing Aguero, although having said that, Tevez is going to be some act to follow.
Either way in the years to come his memory will fade and we'll have new heroes who played their part in championships and European glory.
Oh and I wish to fuck they'd take his picture off every little article on the os and replace him with Vinny(our real captain)!

Do you really care if the fee's paid over five years or whatever? That's the way most deals are done. If Corinthians think they can handle it, fair play.

Similarly, who cares if Kia rents Tevez straight back to Madrid or Inter? Fuck Carlos, I'm not scared of him - if he comes back to Eastlands in the CL, I'll be the first to applaud him.

Guess what if we except the 40m Real Madrid would be in there like a shot! This is a ploy by KIA to get us to except a lower offer! Because if Real Madrid were the ones looking to buy him we would be quoting 60m with there previous buys Ronaldo 80m Kaka 57m
