True. You can also apply that thought to pretty much any decision ever made by anyone in any scenario that ever existed. But we don't know if they would be any different whether Nunes or Khusanov played.

The draw against the rags was a sacking offence.View attachment 155058Theres a whole lot of little green W's there lately since we settled on our current back 4 ;)

We have had quite a lot of good fortune too in the last few weeks with the post bailing us out 7 times in the last 4 games. I’m not sure changing it to accommodate Akanji would neccesarily be a bad thing. O’Reilly is starting to look a bit vulnerable at Lb and when he and Nunes play it does leave us a bit open to that ball over the top.Possibly.
The bonus over the last few weeks has been stability plus Gvardiol playing centrally.
I'm a little apprehensive that with Akanji now match fit Pep might resort to playing him at CB and Gvardiol at LB again
Dropping 5 points against the worst united team for decades takes the piss!!The draw against the rags was a sacking offence.
He's not ready. Our back 4 is settled. He's not ready. We are grinding out results. He's not ready. What on earth has happened here. Why in the lad not playing?

I have no issue with Khusanov and Reiss not starting but it is concerning that they don’t even make the bench and Stones and Ake aren’t even back yet.
Results, and no room on the bench at the moment, some will be gone in the summer.I have no issue with Khusanov and Reiss not starting but it is concerning that they don’t even make the bench and Stones and Ake aren’t even back yet.
His time will hopefully come. What on earth has happened here. Why in the lad not playing?

Watching the Barca Inter game I realized that Pep's obsession with control is actually a negative tactic.Asking Khusanov to do Nunes role would be insane by Pep, hence why he isnt playing.
Khusanov, and to a degree Akanji are unlucky in that we are playing with only 2 CBs, and 2 wide athletic fullbacks.
I do think next season Pep goes back to making a back 3 (Pep is more defensive minded than people realize), which will mean Khusanov gets more minutes as the wide RCB.
For what reason should pep go back if this tactic works? Is it because he is stubborn or just because ? Don’t see a reason to not play with 2 fullbacks. This fullback into central thing is just weakening is and is getting exposed clearly by other teams.Asking Khusanov to do Nunes role would be insane by Pep, hence why he isnt playing.

I juat have a gut feeling its not his long term plan, we have been lucky a few times on some counters. For what reason should pep go back if this tactic works?
