Great point I noticed too. Pep picked good pairings for the new lads. Can almost see the confidence/reassurance khusanov gets playing alongside stones and I think stones is a great foil and guide for him.I think what's being missed here(in the last few pages at least), is how much having Big Stones next to him. The ability of having JS to bring calm and take charge instils confidence to the other defending partner to play, knowing that the defending position is as covered as it can be.
Akanji when fit, is similar, for me Dias is not. But maybe Reis and Dias would be a decent balance? I don't know.
I would much rather Stones see both Reis and Khusanov through their learning period than anyone else and those lads will come out in excellent form.
That's how confident I am.
He played some RB in Lans this year. He can do itHe's a centre back. Leave him there.
Same for me and agreed he's a long term CB.Depends who is fit at CB. If Dias, Stones and Ake are available then I don't mind it.
But that's only because we're in a perpetual injury crisis. Long term, I don't think he's got much business being there.
Don't agree with Stones, it has shown over all of his years here he needs someone leading him. Not the other way round.I think what's being missed here(in the last few pages at least), is how much having Big Stones next to him. Not according to Transfermrkt. He played some RB in Lans this year. He can do it
Gvadiol was a centre back. He's a centre back. Leave him there.
Gvadiol was a centre back.
They could long term be our cb pair. It would help if we bought some full backs so we had players for these positions. But we are where we are.
Ones got a beard and the other looks like Bruce Lee.Gvardiol and Khusanov are absolutely nothing alike though.
Think it quite unlikely we see full backs on both sides, think Pep prefers 3 centre backs and one full back, with either the fullback, or one of the centre back able to drop in beside the pivot. It's no coincidence Lewis looks far better when he has a proper 6 playing as a pivot as we did against Newcastle.Gvadiol was a centre back.

In a match thread you wrote Khusanov, Reis, Marmoush and Gonzalez offGood stuff. Like I said, he's a big boy and doesn't need babying. He is a proper man city centerback
It's the blue moon © wayIn a match thread you wrote Khusanov, Reid, Marmoush and Gonzalez off
Just like the twin sisters I dated last week.Ones got a beard and the other looks like Bruce Lee.
