It is pretty obvious that everyone wants this guy to succeed. Even before a game, people were celebrating the fact that he didn't smile. The videos showed his no-nonsense defending. He turns up in a tracky with no wash bag. His performances have been great too - pace, physicality, determination and no lack of technique. He could become a great. Zabba vibes with more skill.
 
He’s the type of defender we haven’t had that often, probably since Vinny

He’s not passive at all , doesn’t back off and tries to win the ball

With his build and style ,he reminds me of Sergio Ramos , obviously a very high bar but you can sometimes just tell with a kid that they have all the tools needed to be a very special player indeed

I would imagine he’s a humble guy given his background , we could be looking at the cornerstone of our defence for the next 12 years

He'd absolutely flog Vinny in a footrace
 
Lovely to see a young lad that loves the game, is level headed and utterly genuine.

Let's just hope that the fame, money and stardom that arrives does not take that away from him.

So far he is a pleasure to watch, it's been a horrible season but this guy has made me enjoy his performances so much, personally I think we are witnessing the start of a very special career in the game.
 
When was the last time we had a cult favours on the levels of this lad? Balotelli is the last one I can think of. Can’t think of anyone since.

He’s absolutely class, and just seems to get it. Love the kid.
 
The player he most closely resembles to me is a young Varane. I'm talking his early madrid years long before he was washed up and scammed united for many millions. And by complete coincidence, he also started at Lens.
