If we're still relying on Stones and Ake and loan out Khusanov, we're a bunch of complete idiots.

Exactly. I saw nothing from Khusanovs performances that would lead me to believe he needs to be loaned. He showed a ton of potential in his limited appearances especially when he was thrown into the fire immediately. His pace is electric for a cb. Easily our quickest cb. He needs to stay and play

Honestly I would just try to sell both of those. They didnt matter this season and shouldn’t the next. Give the minutes to Khusanov and Reis. At least they active + Akanji is there too. That’s more than enough.

Yeah. I absolutely love Stones and Ake but they are constantly injured and have been for the past few years. When was the last time we got a full season with either of these guys? Akanji Dias gvardiol khusanov maybe keep ake and ship stones out. But I hope we sign at least one fullback with pace and skill.

Khusanov and Gvardiol would give us a good combination of pace, aggression, and silkiness at the back. The question is whether they both need a leader alongside them, especially if we're getting in new fullbacks and a new keeper. Having someone like Dias in there for the sake of cohesion and communication could be even more important

That’s why I would keep Khusanov as number 3/4 CB. Dias is the best communicator but I don’t know for how long. If Khusanov turns out better he has to play. Doesn’t matter if he is 21 and not 25. looking at Bournemouth or Arsenal 2 years ago it can work. Needs to keep learning English though.
