45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

Our best defender. I am not saying on the ball, technically, no, but in the pure defensive sense. Critical for us. I hope it's not a serious injury. Arsenal always injures our best players...

Hopefully not a major injury but does seem a little prone to them which is a little concerning.

He was fantastic other than that. A brick wall.

Did look like he took the full force of the arsenal players boot on his foot, hope it's not a metatarsal, he's been great for us and our back four looked so solid with him there

21 minutes in they played a through ball and I thought they might be in but then I saw khusanov and knew it would be taken care of l, which is it was. Just a quality defender and his attributes are absolutely vital for this team. Fingers crossed on the injury

We would've conceded that goal with him on the pitch anyway with that stupid high line that doesn't work anymore.
Change of personnel, tainted the strategy, hence the outcome.

Mate Nunes did nothing wrong all second half, Arsenal were creating fuck all until we decided to randomly give them space in behind in stoppage time, Khus wouldn't have stopped that.

Never said Nunes did anything wrong. I said change of personnel taints the strategy. Nunes is more attack minded. AK45 is defensive. The strategy changes with personnel. Hence the highline. Nunes put in a wonderful shift.

Except we didn't play a high line at all in that second half except that very moment, it just happened out of nowhere So Khus being there or not was irrelevant.

Immense half, thankfully he would have been rested for Wednesday and I’d hope Nunes can play at the weekend against Burnley

I'm not sure that's necessarily true. There's been a number of occasions the last week (including in this game) where there's been a ball behind the line like that and Khus is the first man on the scene and bails us out. He seems to be very attuned to the danger of balls in behind.

That's not to say Nunes did anything wrong for the goal, he was just holding the line, but I wonder if Khus would spot the danger in that situation and drop-off.

Good point, hope it's not serious.
