What has Foden got to do to earn a starting place? He maybe behind KDB, but he should be starting in front of David Silva.

I expect him to start midweek and against United. I can't see him starting away at Newcastle and Burnley

He'll be in the team on merit come the end of the season. You can see the tide is starting to turn. If Foden was the same player he was a year ago, Pep would have looked at that bench, not trusted Phil and brought Otamendi on and pushed Fernandinho into midfield given how big a game it was. Or even brought Jesus on and attempted Sterling as an #8 or sumat like he did vs Lyon last season. To get the nod that he's actually next in line was really good for him. Not 7th in line after a whole load of injury permutations. Pep's starting to trust him I reckon, and rightfully so.

first time his omission has really annoyed me..

Needs to start playing more regularly. This was the perfect game for him to play after Silva and Rodri came off against Chelsea with niggles.

He played 2 balls when he came on that were sublime,I love the way he just walks into the game,can’t wait till he’s a regular,the lad is outstanding.
