Why do refs find it acceptable for players to kick fuck out of Phil , in the Poland game there were at least half a dozen challenges write through the back of him , it takes a lot for the lad to complain he is very level headed but even he was questioning the ref after the 4th or 5th dodgy tackle.
He is one of the most honest players i have seen in current modern day football , but i fear some yard dog is going to cause serious damage unless refs actually appreciate his honesty and give him more protection.

Great for him he scored that goal. He had 3 great chances to find the net before that: 1 he missed it completly, 2 times straight to the keeper's hands. If it stayed 1-1 he would blame himself for his finishes and rightly so.

Good goal at the end and overall one of the best players on the pitch. If he had his shooting boots today he could have hattrick
