Going to repeat a post I just made in response to Tolmie in Cheltenham post match thread:
Foden might just be the most naturally gifted English player since Gazza. I said that to the girls when we were watching post match stuff yesterday.
I don't want to get carried away or make too many claims though. We still need to wait and see how he develops and give him time to do so; and, on that score, I think he is in great hands with Pep.
I do think we are into a new phase though in terms of Phil's progression and it's very exciting.

I just hope that his body is ready to handle the pile up of fixtures and the increased game time he's getting.
He undoubtedly deserves to play and is in a group of 5 or 6 players in top form, so we need him every game.
However, we don't won't him becoming like Kev and constantly struggling with niggly injuries during intense periods.
Hopefully he has the same muscle recovery as Raheem!

Hopefully keeps his head down, keeps working hard and keeps improving. And from his post match interview alone, it's what he intends to do. We've seen how many English talents the media and fans have ruined simply by overhyping them/putting the weight of a nation on their shoulders.

I m ordering the Paisley strip with Fodens name on the back. He is god. I love his ever improving work rate and contributions. Needs to start more, has more fire than any City player in ages. Mind you Serg` has been out a while. hopefully see Phil lift something this year again!

He has it all, ability, awareness, movement, reads the game, tackles, can go past players, gets in between the lines, can assist and thread balls through , scores goals
