I don’t want to sound like I’m going over the top, but can get to the same level Messi has been for Barca? Like Pep said, he’s only 20 and he’s still got a lot of improving to be done. He glides past players with ease and his finishing is quality. Even if he’s a level or two below Messi, then we’ve got a player for years.

He and Torres are young enough, that I actually like that Pep plays them across the front 3 (LW, 9, RW).

The downside is that they don't master a position, but their young and they should be in a "learning phase", learning how to play across the front 3 is far better for their development as they become smarter footballers.

Overtime they can nail down a position, but if they need to go into another spot, they will have then grown enough as a player that it's not a huge issue, they are still attacking positions of course (it's not like the difference in what is required is that big between them, even if the space is).

Foden at the moment is at his best when out wide, just as Silva was at his age.

As we saw today he is deceptively quick

I think the point is that they are not just stuck to one position. It is just a front 3, all interchanging, dropping in and out of positions. Like his Barca team of old e.g. Henry, Messi, Villa, Pedro and so forth. Torres, Foden, Sterling and Jesus is an exciting group of players that can play anywhere across the front line.

Foden himself though, world class. That fourth goal just truly capped it off.

He's made incredible strides this year, and is becoming much more consistent. Too bad he never plays
