I think you don't have to look much further than what Pep said. He has everything needed to be considered one of the game's true elite players, and all that's missing is the ability to dictate the tempo of games like David Silva did. This can only be developed via experience on the pitch and through an accumulation of games, but it will eventuly come, and when it does, we'll have the best midfielder/attacking forward in the game.
Yaya Toure dictated the tempo of most games i saw him play.
With or without Silva.

Statistical update on our €140m rated Star Boy.

2524 minutes. 11 goals. 9 assists. Goal/Assist every 126 minutes.
(Projected pre-season)
3000 minutes. 16 goals. 14 assists.

That was with the anticipation he would play more central than on the wings skewing the stats downward slightly. He's undoubtedly in our best 11 now ahead of Mahrez and Sterling. For reference Sterling gets a contribution every 141 minutes and Mahrez every 162.

Total Stats under Pep.
5735 minutes. 26 goals. 21 assists. Goal/Assist every 122 minutes.

For comparison... KDB under Pep.
16,069 minutes. 48 goals. 91 assists. Goal/Assist every 115 minutes.

Would he start in a CL final over Mahrez or Raheem? I doubt it but the boy is absolutely ready for it.

Just heard on the radio that Lingard starts ahead of him tonight. Think I'll give this one a miss.
