I have been disappointed with foden this season. Harsh I know but he is just so good I really expect him to heavily influence most matches he plays. Recently he has played well below his standards.

On a side note I’ve found it quite disturbing the amount of stick pogba, Sterling, alli get for changing their hair frequently yet foden never seems to get criticised for that in the press. Wonder why. Shouldn’t even be a talking point but the media seem obsessed with it when it’s a young black man,
He gets enough shit on here from us foc’s for it tbh

Always thought he has played well this season. It shouldn't take goals for people to recognise this. Good job Pep knows this. ;-)
true. the only difference today was the opponent did not sit in so he found space for shots and got himself a goal. if he was marked out be a deep defense many here would be saying he is playing bad and stuff like that he has always played well this season.

Phil will be fine. Has been played a bit out of position this season but that's fine. It'll help his long term development, all these new experiences and so called 'poor form'.

He's so good and he's ours!

The posters digging him out have been an embarrassment.
Not seen people digging him out just people saying he’s not been playing as well as he can. Injuries and playing false 9 probably haven’t helped but he’s been a little out of sorts by his very high standards.

There’s been a few.

That drag back for the goal was sumptuous. So many others would have taken a wild swing at the ball when it fell back to them.

Also, I don't think many appreciate how good his passing range is. Can easily see him transitioning to a deeper role as his career progresses.

Played well, turned out to be a lovely goal even though it looked scrappy as hell. but there's no getting away from the fact he's severely hindered in that role, we will never see the best of him in that position. Needs to play on the left.

Agreed a lovely bit of skill for the goal when people would normally have just shot.

Phil will be fine and the false nine will help him (even though he will end up CM).

He's a very young man he hasn't fully developed yet and we won't see how good he really is for maybe 5 or 6 years, he is holding his own and doesn't look an inch out of place in a team like Manchester City, think about how good Manchester City are in terms of world football anyone disappointed in phils performances this season need to be patient, he will still have ups and downs, but he is growing everyday, he's going to be imo a fucking awesome player
