Have we found a weakness in him?! Key player alongside Bernardo. Without those two we just lack a bit of quality. However more minutes for Gundo to get some sharpness and match fitness.

They'll enjoy the midweek rest I'm sure.

Only began to look a threat when he came on with jesus shortly after. First thing he did was pick the ball up go at the player and get off a shot, everybody else is all too willing to pass the buck to somebody else at the minute he's the only one that ups the intensity and says okay I'll do something then. There's a danger we might be becoming reliant on getting that from him. Others need to sharpen up quickly. Woeful penalty, said he would miss but if I had to pick a player in our side to miss their penalty it oukd be him, he will brush that off no problem whatsoever, put money on him scoring this weekend.

Very, very disappointed he missed the penalty. I would have put my mortgage on his technical ability to score the pen. Absolutely amazed he would drag it wide.

Major honours are won and lost on things like this. No excuses, he better not sleep tonight.

I guess you cannot be a City top player if you are good at penalties. I am sure this plus his bad definition in the past matches will make him work in his 1v1, which might be his biggest weakness. He has the technique and the confidence, so he’ll be fine with practice and experience

We went up a level when he came on against West Ham , but he should have been on earlier , he nearly won us the game but eventually cost us the game , all part of his learning curve he will be better for the experience and taking responsibilty for his penalty miss. It will just make him more determined god help Palace on Saturday , my money on a Phil hat-trick , he will make someone pay.

The fucking state of that comment......

The kid is a genius,he lights up our team and he never gives less than 100%.

I hope he is fast asleep,in preparation to terrorise Palace at weekend, and safe in the knowledge that, despite his error,he has an abundance of credit in the bank with rationale supporters.

Give your head a fucking wobble.

If it is a weakness he’s in good company as the greatest ever is pretty hit and miss when it comes to pens. Messi must lack the technical ability.

So much sharper than everyone else at the moment. Our key man.

one thing that is totally underappreciated about phil is that, his body position is always perfect. compared to say sterling whose body position is always incorrect, basically all of sterlings troubles with dribbling, passing, shooting comes from his body position. phil has no such issues and is david silva like in that aspect.
Forden has that ability to look like he's gliding across the pitch, similar to Colin Bell or more recently Fabergas.

Sterling looks like he's running in high heels whilst always holding his arms in that weird unnatural position up high and close to his body, a bit like Paul Power aka Doris the Chicken.

Don’t think it’s a weakness thing at all and agree he’s our key man at the moment, along with Bernardo.

He makes the game look easy but he’s got so much to learn. He’s a talented finisher but has missed easy chances recently. He put his penalty wide, it wasn’t saved.

He’s nowhere near his peak and hopefully he’ll learn from last night.

If Foden and Bernie had started last night we would probably have got through. They are that important to us.

Lol, get over yourself.

Like many in the squad his finishing needs some work.

We looked better when he came on though.

I hope Pep and his coaches are drilling this into him. It’s one of his minor weakness attributes, get him on the finishing training after every session. He’s got all the potential to be the best in the world, but his finishing needs some work. He’s already scored a lot of goals for us, but he’s missed a handful this season which should have been goals.

What kind of level can foden get to. His passing range is incredible so he could eventually end up a world class midfielder
But seems to be able to play upfront as well as he can score goals.

I am beginning to wonder could foden become England's greatest ever player.

It wasn't his best game but I still don't think we should put him out wide. He's much better in the middle of the park.

Totally agree his passing range is made for the middle of the park. If he played there for a year or two. I think he could become the best midfielder in the world.

Played a great ball from the left hand side for the goal, shame it was disallowed. I think he was trying to do too much after that.
