This season is like last season … can’t find form.

Plays a handful of games a season when you think wow he’s unreal and the rest are meh..

Like Sane was , hope he can find he’s feet and establish himself as has all the ability in the world.

Feel like he played better before he got the big contract agreed in principle

Hard fixed to find anyone in the team/squad who has had a consistent run of form..Haaland, Ake, Stones, Rodri? Everyone else has been on/off

Do you know this?
No you just need to use common sense and imagine the scenario:

Leaks emerge through the media that the club are listening to offers… they’ve entered negotiations… they’ve accepted an offer… Phil is off for a medical etc

Picture the fallout amongst the fans and anger against the club all over social media and around town during all this - you still think it’s a goer?

Not from what I’ve seen he shouldn’t, not that It bothers me he’s still young and even though he’s played a lot, young players often dip before kicking on again.
Well 90% of games at a minimum then; I can’t remember the last time I saw a starting XI with Phil on the bench and felt that every single one of the attackers and midfielders warranted a place over him.

But yeah I totally agree these spells happen to footballers, especially young ones and especially attacking, risk-taking players. Likes others have said he needs game time and consistency to play through it and find his rhythm.

I do because every player has a price, it’s a business. Not sure the club are concerned about fallout as it would only be a temporary thing.

Not this shite again.

He's literally played hundreds of games and won a dozen trophies and personal accolades playing as a winger.

You can count on one hand the number of games he's played in central midfield for City. If he's not a winger, he's nothing.

Delph played as a fullback while he was here and won one or two trophies but in reality would you really call Delph a fullback? Your argument doesn't really hold.
