I think he suffers from the same issue Sterling had after Arteta had left for Arsenal. He's just became comfortable in false nine and chipping in a lot of goals from the different points in the box, when all of sudden he has been shifted 3 miles to the left - where he is mostly useless in a static game.

He wasn't helped by the fact Cancelo didn't want to give him the ball. He made a few attempts to run in behind but was ignored. He's always on the move and looking to stretch things, but he can only be effective if he's trusted to play that way. We might as well play Ake wide left if we want someone to get the ball and pass it backwards. It's strange why that's the plan 9 times out of 10. Watching Arsenal yesterday, Saka and Martinelli are always looking to take the ball forwards to draw the defender onto them.

Everyone has a dip and this is Fodens moment. Nothing too concerning, I mean his performances are stinking the place out but I’m sure he’ll rediscover his form. Too good not to

His dip has been going on for quite some time now. Wouldn’t exactly say he had a great season last season, but was player out of position.

Hasn’t kicked on. since 20/21. Can’t wait for him to show us all what we thought he was when he first broke through.

100% but can't see that happening before the summer, and even with him we need at the very least one more and ideally two.

I hope we have plenty of cash in the bank because we need to really splash the cash.

We have allowed the chasing pack to catch up to us, Arsenal, Rags, Newcastle will all be stronger next season, no more worrying about FFP, no more fucking about, identify the players early and get them in early.
When you look at our bench its not great .

Get him back on the right cutting in on his left foot. That's where he was effective earlier in the season

That’s what I’ve been saying

Grealish on the left, Foden on the right. We tore United a new arsehole early in the season when we started like that.

I know pep likes to tinker and rotate but sometimes I don’t get how a manager doesn’t reference certain games where we looked unstoppable and try it again.

it isnt coincidence that since that derby in october we havent had the front line of foden haaland grealish that since then foden hasnt played on the right i dont think. i think walker getting injured there had an impact on that.

but i hope pep gets that front line back together it was much more dynamic

Not sure I agree with that. I thought he played really well last season considering he was upfront. Most midfielders couldn’t do the job he did. Earlier this season he was playing really well too.

As above he’s too good not to come back.

That’s fine. I don’t think he’s kicked on nearly as much as we would have hoped or expected. Pains me to say it.
