Needs to be playing as often as possible, and preferably in his favoured position.
I've absolutely given up on Phil ever playing centrally under Pep. For years Pep has said it will happen and it still hasn't.

To think Pep watched KDB's performance today and thought, "Nah, Phil might turn the ball over and/or be too attacking" is hard to wrap my head around.

Yeah totally agree but then i wouldn’t ever sub KDB either when we need a goal

Something happened behind closed doors to explain his lack of playing time? What do we think blues

If KDB was even average on the day then I'd agree but he was arguably our worst player out there.
As great as he is he has plenty of games where he constantly gives the ball away. Problem and blessing is on plenty of those days he can still come up with a brilliant goal or pass out of nowhere.

I wonder if it's as simple as Rashford's case of oversleeping over a team meeting. Pep obviously did not make the issues public unlike Ten Hag.

He is still coming on as sub so it probably can't be something THAT serious.

He called Philips fat so I don't think he'd shy away from calling out someone for over sleeping.

Personally think he’s being used sparingly as he’s got a huge January.
He, Bernardo & Walker will likely have to play every single minute.

The fact pep has stopped using him & lack of game time for England suggest something isn’t right.

Shame really but his form has fell of a cliff

Fell off a cliff? - that’s a huge exaggeration. He was playing brilliant then gradually stopped getting picked. He still always contributes.

Fell off a cliff suggests he’s been terrible, which he hasn’t. He was good for England aswell
