He wasn’t pocketed. It’s stranger than that because he really never tried to take him on. I’m sure it has something to do with instructions but it’s really worrying how little confidence he seems to have right now. Even when Cash was injured and trying to play he had an opportunity to run at him and he just passed it back. I don’t think Pep is coaching his wingers to be so safe but I don’t know why Phil has lost so much of that drive to push forward and make something happen

Pep is coaching the players not to the lose the ball and cause a transition. Phil is probably concerned that trying to beat a man may lose us the ball.

Still convinced he needs to play either deeper or in midfield. The best parts of his game are being wasted by him playing high and by us having nobody overlapping giving him the option to beat somebody inside instead. The same will happen with Grealish too. They are being sacrificed for the system.

Finally, absolutely spot on. Plus if you don’t work as part of the ‘system’ in a Pep side then you won’t play.

Nah.
He got pocketed by Ashley Fucking Young.

Enough said about his performance.
Well. You got a couple of likes off some nobheads but just want to ask, did you post on the threads when we've been fantastic? You know, being the happy **** you are?

Foden really should be playing midfield. His game and play style is those of a midfielder. He is a much better winger than Bernardo but that's not exactly a complement because Bernardo has never been a great winger anyway. His game is so unlike traditional wingers Mahrez, Sterling or Sane that I wonder how he could thrive in that position for an extended amount of time.

He's got far more to his game than he's currently showing, whether that's because of the way Pep wants him to play or he's just out of form, i don't know.
Probably a bit of both, he'll come good again

I do, yeah.

So you think Phil gave Young problems yesterday? I thought he was really poor. That old rag seemed bang up for it and Phil seemed really fucking hesitant for some reason. Young absolutely pocketed him.

It's only been 6 games but so far his numbers are better than both of them:
1G 3A Foden
0G 2A Saka
0G 0A Mount
Foden has 2A according to PL website. One of the pass midweek was deflected by the defender so it did not count.
