In a rich vein of form currently, another good performance today and a quality finish for his goal.

Some of his finishing for the EDS and when he first came through was just absurd. He still has some incredible ones (I don't think last week's 1st goal got nearly enough credit for just how good it was) but has become a bit more conventional and shoots a lot less.


I think his whole game goes up a level when he's scoring goals, sometimes he's a bit hesitant in the final third, but when he's scored a few and his confidence is up, everything speeds up a fraction and he's just devastating.

Foden is a mega talent, but he’s not the “generational talent” that is often spoken of as of yet.

Haaland did the pre season with the main squad. I dont really like to compare degrees of talent but i do think hes the best english player of his generation and a world class talent. Now, only time will tell how high can he go, but midfielders can take a while to fully develop (De Bruyne) as its the most complex position to play in

I think this season our Phil has gone up a level or two, I feel like he is taking the games in a more mature way, every movement with more purpose

Whilst I take your point, Foden has been with City for 10+ years.

This last preseason probably won’t define him as a player.
