Too many on here question him, perhaps listening to our beloved media a little too much. He has been outstanding in almost every game this season. Well done, Phil.

His goal was perfect. I am glad to see he has learned to shoot with accuracy rather than power (actually he was like this 3 years ago, I don't know why he got worse). Amazing first touch, and just a MotM performance in the 2nd half.
He's outperformed his xG by a significant margin over his career.

I am sure it is. He is incredibly talented. But his 20/21 shooting technique was supreme. The last 2 seasons whenever he was in front, he chose to shoot as hard as he could. A player with such technique should try to pass into the net instead.

Get in Phil! End of the game he was giving it all the fucking pausa you want to see the game out. Get him on the ball and things happen. Huge credit to Pep for identifying the issue tactically and switching things. You could see the confidence oozing through Phil when he got his goal and hopefully it continues growing game by game.

Not a great 1st half, but like the team he improved significantly in the second. His goal was top quality, great take and movement and lovely finish.
