Alvarez most likely. Even Kovacic or even Grealish.

Personally, I'm not sure why a lot of predicted lineups have Kovacic immediately slotting into our starting XI.
I would of thought KDB would replace Alvarez.

Bernardo would either replace Kovacic or stay on the right.

Wow! Not a chance he looks to move on. I don't understand that logic! He's just won the treble, he played in the CL final and was impressive in a tight game, nearly creating his own goal from nothing with a magic bit of skill and being a constant threat playing off Haaland and indeed recycling the ball well and going back to Akanji which led to the goal. There's an extra maturity in his game which is why we've seen him in the middle more. The keep ball against Real Madrid before the lovely pass through to Alvarez. The quick turn and drive forwards against Arsenal at the weekend which led to Palmer's goal. Still plenty for him to develop, and he'll need to continue to balance his attacking flair and desire with a slower and more controlled tempo but if he avoids injury this season I'd expect him to be involved in the majority of games again. We need someone in the middle who is a goal threat and that man is Phil.
I really hope you’re right and I wasn’t having a go at him. He’s one of the few players that genuinely excites in this City team because, like Kev, he’s very much ‘off the cuff’.
He only got on in the CL because KDB got injured and, tellingly, he wasn’t selected there when KDB didn’t start last Sunday.
I’d just imagine it’s a bit galling to see all these other young players getting heaps of praise, whilst not having anything like the talent that he does.

According to some fans on my timeline, evil Pep is holding him back and destroying his career.

They don't seem to quite understand that there are so many things that go on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
"Evil Pep" PMSL !!
Have these village fucking idiots even considered why the fuck Pep would want to destroy Phil's career ?
He has publicly said many times "if any player is not happy here, he can leave"

Desperation. They know with Pep we're a million miles above those tossers from Scaffold Ratford and their fake Pep, who no doubt will be sacked after he's spent 600 million on 2nd rate crap, so they make up this kind of shite through jealousy. I hope we can do the double treble, make them cry even more !
God I detest those wankers.

It’ll be the same cranks who were telling anyone daft enough to listen last season that Ederson is shit.
We’ve picked up some wrong’uns in our fanbase over the last few years sadly.
Not really. Nobody here is saying that Phil is a bad player. No-one.

You have the same people that debate in absolute terms that jump on anyone who doesn’t say Foden is supreme.

Fans can be excited by Foden’s potential whilst being slightly disappointed how the past couple of seasons have gone for him.

The Ederson haters are lunatics.
