Didn't expect to wake up to all this discourse, mostly from the typical media talking heads of course. I don't think Paqueta (if the transfer even happens) impacts Foden's time much. I think we'll see Phil mostly on the right, spelling Jack on the left, with a bit of time playing centrally.

I know we all want him central but honestly Pep knows what he's doing and he'll play there when he's ready. I do think he'll rightfully be one of the first names on the team sheet, as he has been the past 3 seasons barring injuries.
And what an idiotic discourse, the lad averaged 12 goals per season in the last five season, 15 in the last three. God forbid he plays in a dippery red, Carragher would whistle to a different tune.

Jesus man, Phil had a chronic foot injury that kept getting aggravated last season, until the appendicitis gave him chance to rest it completely and he came back looking superb towards the end of the season. He'll start 40 games in all comps at least.
Why is everybody all of a sudden panicking about Phil Foden? Take no notice of Mr Spitty who obviously would love him to move on what with the amount of times he's ripped the dippers a new one. Phil when properly fit plays in our best team week in week out.

I really regret not booting Carragher in the bollocks very very hard when I found myself queuing next to him at Liverpool airport waiting for the Barcelona flight a few years ago.
Would probably have missed the game but worth it in the long run.

According to some fans on my timeline, evil Pep is holding him back and destroying his career.

They don't seem to quite understand that there are so many things that go on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

Evil Pep my arse. Those stupid fans need to take a step back and look at what he has done for this club. It's not Phil Foden FC it's about Manchester City FC . Phil will be ok he is a brilliant talent whose ceiling is unlimited. He will play loads of games and score loads of goals for us.

Hate this bias towards him now that he’s not made it yet after he was injured for at least half the season and still got 23 goal involvements. Since the 19/20 season he has done 17,26, 25 and 23 goal involvements per season.

Watching the overlap looking on social media saying Bellingham and Saka has surpassed him is ridiculous, this lad is one of the most technical players that have played for our club and hasn’t even reached his peak yet. Hopefully he can stay fit this season and show the league he is better than 97% of the players in this league.

he was our best player when he came back from his first injury after the World Cup but then unfortunately was out again. Gonna be scary hours for him this season.

It’ll be the same cranks who were telling anyone daft enough to listen last season that Ederson is shit.
We’ve picked up some wrong’uns in our fanbase over the last few years sadly.
