Don't get me wrong, he's still *just* in our strongest 11 for me and to be in that you have to be an incredible footballer, but he was spoken about as a generational talent and I just don't see it now. I want him to be dragging us through games like today but he doesn't do it.Maybe he's just not as good as we think? He's clearly very good, but he's not the player we thought he'd be by now. Has he improved from the season he had in 20/21? Not for me. He looked like the best talent in world football then and I don't think he's the best English talent now.

I just don't think he has the football intelligence to switch on straight away when we lose the ball. It takes him too much time to react. There was an example of it today. He lost the ball, threw his hands up in anger and then realised he needed to get back and he did make the tackle.
He is such a natural footballer but I don't think the football brain he has is particularly natural and it's holding him back a bit.
