Magnificent first half, aggressive, positive and a thorn in Brightons side, but second half showed the only glaring weakness in his game, fading from the game.

I thought he was excellent, especially in the 1st half. The team faded away in the 2nd a bit, so understandably, he wasn't as good in the 2nd, but the same applies to everyone else. I don't understand the doubts surrounding Foden this year. I think he is amongst our best players this season, and he has a crazy high ceiling.

I suppose the thing with the ceiling is he isn't a boy anymore, he's pretty much getting towards his mid 20s soon, 24 by the end of this season. These are the days he needs to start reaching full potential regularly in games, rather than just being very gifted. Time goes quickly in football. A few more seasons of a player trying to reach their full potential and suddenly they're much closer to 30 than 20.

I think he's been very good this season though and seems to be really finding his feet in the position he is mostly playing. I think he's really going to shine this season as it gets going more.

He needs to start adding more goals to his game as do players like Bernardo and Grealish, I don't know why our midfielders fail on this front. Gundogan and Mahrez always chipped in every two or three matches, none of our current lot come close to matching that

Phil Foden is amazing good Pace good Techniques
This Youngster will be also good for England Nationalteam....

The quiet brilliance of Foden that goes under the radar. Worthy read this tread and makes you appreciate how much Foden is coming into his own in the central role.

Only stat sheet watchers think Phil has been underwhelming. He's quietly been our second-best midfield/attacking player behind Alvarez, and I think he's been outperforming him over the past month or so. The goals/assists will come.

Actually, he scores more than Gundogan and a bit less than Mahrez. He's got into double figures every season since he turned twenty. He's pretty far ahead of Grealish and Bernardo in that regard.

I want him to score more too but it seems like a very weird criticism to make.
