47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

He did well enough in the first half without pulling up any trees and played his part in the whole team's defensive work today without sparkling in the 2nd half. It's been a difficult season with the routine being disrupted by the Euros and illnesses. Phil will come good again. Like so many, he us exhausted.
His defensive work was a joke. It was non existent.

He is certainly struggling this season, we don’t know what’s going on in his personal life but Pep must be seeing something in training to continually pick him.

The team missed pre-season & many players have said it affects the whole season trying to get into the groove.

The lad looks shattered but has to play. Mcatee deserves a run & hopefully this allows Phil time to get sharp.

It's hard not to love Foddn, but some of the defensive slow jug around was disappointing to see. It's one thing to be off form, it's another to not put in your normal effort.

He looked injured to me. Especially when they had the ball.

Shockingly poor, what has happened to him.

He now has a horrible habit of receiving the ball then looking behind him to look for opponents and thus often loses the ball.

The drop off from last season is alarming, this is far deeper than a loss of form.

Losing Rodri is bad enough. Foden of form for months doesn’t make it easier. KdB and a few others on and off is also not helping.

It’s what we are up against. Don’t know what happened to Foden but he is simply poor and above that hardly defended back. Rightly subbed. One good strike that got us the goal after good footwork by Lewis.

You never know what's going on behind the scenes but there's no doubt he's a shadow of the player from last season in all areas of his game.
