If it is a stomach virus and he's on antibiotics, chances are he's probably feeling weak and not in any condition to be training and playing.

But who knows, it wouldn't be the first time a player hasn't played and the reason given isn't quite the truth.
If he has a virus he won't be on antibiotics.
 
Would it take almost three weeks to get over if it was food poisoning?
Some people get struck down with food poisoning that changes their microbiome (and digestive rhythms/habits) for life. Bacteria's a weird thing. Not go to TMI but I had a course of antibiotics for an ear infection about six years ago and for a good month I just wasn't the same and barely left the house. Took a month-long course of pretty expensive probiotics to get things back steady again. Definitely one of the weirdest experiences of my life.
