Phil has recently moved house to a little quiet village with good fishing nearby. Not the usual footballers area like the Golden Triangle where City United Everton and Lpool players live in close proximity to each other.

Cheapskate, thought he would have had his own lakes :)

He will hopefully be back to his best very soon.

Hope he starts tonight, in the middle, and has a good game. We have missed him this season, especially with Rodders and KDB being out.

I loved his performance and work rate tonight.

If I'm nitpicking, I thought there was an opportunity to shoot in the box in the first half shortly after he scored, which he opted to pass. I hope he doesn't let some of the online comments about him being 'selfish' get to him. Goal scoring/ball striking is his best attribute.

Was it Akanji who made that pass to Foden for his goal early doors?
That’s the pass I was on about recently that is on about two dozen times a game if people just play the pass… but too often it’s not played to him.

Phil isn’t arsed if there someone up his arse in that position either, he’ll turn them, just give him the ball when it’s on and he’ll do the damage.

Yeah, Akanji (Dias has been more confident with his progressive passing recently as well).

Never gets it when playing for England, only time it’s happened was that first 45 against Netherlands in the Euros and Mainoo tbf was finding him.

Yeah, Akanji (Dias has been more confident with his progressive passing recently as well).

I think the Arsenal game and attacks stopping dead with the centre backs has made Pep push them to be riskier with their passing.
