He's my favorite player, and I've defended him this season as I believe he's had some strong performances that haven't given him the G/A that he deserves, but I can't defend his lack of effort today. There was a ball from Gundo around the 60th minute that wasn't great, but he didn't even attempt to keep it in play. He should have been pulled right then and there.

I honestly think most of it has been coached out of him. Pep’s obsession over the years with Foden slowing the game down has eventually led to this - a player who just gets the ball and plays it to his nearest teammate. It’s why so he’s poor for England too.

What happened to the dribbling, turning with the ball, committing opposition players? He doesn't have the excuse of being 34 and not being able to run like Gundogan so what the hell is going on.

I’d love to know what’s going on with Phil. Someone on here said he wasn’t injured or ill when the club said he was ill. Don’t know if the guy was an ITK but the implication was that there is something amiss behind the scenes.

Mate he scored 27 goals just last season, you think Pep completely coached it out of him in the summer ? get real, if you said his poor Euros has fucked up his confidence then maybe you have point, but I'm pretty sure Pep didn't tell him to stop scoring goals.
