Foden was brilliant at Anfield in the lock down year and the year following when we played false 9 system.

Then awfully bad at Anfield in the Treble season last season and today. That makes a three in a row.

As I said after the last game , he needs a spell on the bench

Still has the touch and technique but hasn’t got the drive at the moment

Let’s hope this isn’t a Dele Alli situation , I don’t think it is due to the malaise in the rest of the team

His best position is out wide right cutting and shooting, the theory of him being better centrally is a myth. Will never be good enough in that position.

It's definitely a good option atm even in the short term just to get his confidence back. Hopefully KDB will be back in the centre as well.

Doesn't seem to have the hunger or desire. So easily bullied off the ball. Needs to get stronger and tougher and go and show last season wasn't a fluke. Talent in buckets but needs to step up considerably if he wants to start games.

Just watched the highlights after avoiding the score due to being on holiday with a Scouser so we agreed not to watch the game and ruin our last day on the beach. Did foden even play? Not even joking...

Confident shot to bits?

Doesn't seem to be carrying an injury. Runs plenty too, so I'm not sure it's a fitness thing.

Everything he does is a fraction slower than at season. He's not instinctive, second guesses himself. The beauty of his play is he can take a ball in a short space and work in fractions of seconds and space but we're not seeing it this season.

Looks more mental than physical.

Shocking performance, all players have dips but what's the excuse for lack of effort and desire?

Too happy to go missing and to let the game go on around him, time to drop him regardless of our issues.
