I told you I agree with all that. He needs to be better in many regards.Grealish was vital 2 years ago, now he isn't. Whether Foden will be in the team depends on his form.
He fell off a cliff after the end of last season and came to life in January, scoring goals without really shining. Let's hope he gets better. Currently, he's on 7 league goals, level with players like Iwobi. That would be fine if he was doing much more than scoring goals, say like prime David or Bernardo. But he isn't. He's currently like a forward who contributes little when he doesn't score. Let's be honest, much more is expected from him, because he has the talent to both score and create, to torment defences.
None of that refutes the central premise once again.
Foden is not gonna struggle to get in the team any time soon.
He gets goals, so Pep will start him in the big games like Madrid. You can say 7 league goals like its a negative, but that still puts him 2nd on our squad, nobody else is scoring but Haaland.
