Needs dropping for a few weeks. There is something not right with him, such a sharp decline is worrying. Hope he can pick himself up for next season because the rest of this one is a write off for him.

I think his age suggests he's still young, does it not? In my life and many of my friends lives, families and their new responsibilities can mess with your head and priorities sometimes, perhaps that's never been an issue for you.
erm, most people still have to do their jobs though

Pointless player atm. Never turns with the ball and more than happy to play it back every fucking time. Time out of the team may do him some good

I wish it was that simple, McAtee has so far, Newcastle aside looked (imo) out of his depth against the better teams, for the most part, same at Sheffield.
I’m saying create a little fire under Phil by benching him and giving McAtee a chance, possibly a run, as a starter with Phil coming off the bench…that’s all.

I feel like he’s got the point where he feels like he’s been so poor he is trying too hard to make something happen. Take him out of the firing line and let him put in 100% over 20-30mins for a few games. Maybe we will get our dynamic Phil back?!

For me, Foden needs to be playing more deeply, coming on to the ball and facing the play. His erratic first touch and lack of upper body strength make it harder for him to play in the pockets. McAtee and Bobb should be in there instead, and Foden using thrm as the wall to play off. However, that also means Foden has to be prepared to run hard in both directions, something he’s less able to do all game.

Just a bit…bland. Another nothing performance.

Worst thing is, his first touch has seemingly turned into a trampoline instead of glue which is what it always has been.

Has he actually made a good pass this season ? not prime KDB type of course, just a good pass that led to something ? oh and I said it before his first touch today made Lukaku's look like Messi's.

Should never have started, hasn't earned his place at all this season. Couldn't do something as simple as trap a ball today. Drop him until he starts doing the basics. I have no idea how he's stayed on that pitch for the 90
Whilst I agree, do you think McAtee is the answer, or perhaps playing Grealish there, or another option?

Luxury player like de Bruyne this season.
