4k TVs

Then you’ve never seen an oled, you get what you pay for.

We paid £650 for our 4k LED tv a few years back. Its fucking ace.

Spending any more than £800 on a TV is bonkers. You will genuinely not be able to tell the difference when its installed in the average living room.

Plus, if you wait 6 months for that expensive tv you're about to click 'buy' on, it will be a lot cheaper.

I think it depends on your use, I watch lots of films and Netflix on Dolby vision, picture is stunning, if you are watching Corrie etc then don’t bother. Prices are coming down rapidly now, an oled 5 years ago was £3k for 55 inch now they are sub £1k.

I can't get my head around 4K TV's specially when I am watching a film. The films look like they have been filmed using the same process as cheap American TV series, watched back to the future part 2 on one yesterday and it killed a classic film for me.

Caveat I am a bit of a FOC.

Got a big old 65” Sony Bravia in living room, it’s fantastic

in the bedrooms got Hisense they are generally the best cheap ones for me, would recommend to anyone

I hope that your advice on graphics cards is a bit more up to date mEX. I've just spunked £160 on your recommendation!! :-)

Just bought an LG 55". I find that when you tweak the colour balance and contrast etc settings it's superb but it takes a bit of doing as picture output seems to vary depending on what you are watching.

Also, did the OP and N work out or did the extravagant telly purchase do for them?
