5 Days in Italy, Where to go and why?

For day trips Florence and Verona by train from Bologna.
I'm not religious in anyway but love visiting churches and art galleries in Italy then sitting down outside with a beer watching the world go by.
Italy never disappoints in that way.
May do Florence as just seen it's only an hour away; just booked into a course at some guys apartment to learn to make Tagliatelle and Tortellini and the sauces, in exchange I will show him how to make a Pot Noodle

Sage advice as always ;-) My dad is Sicilian, so as a kid had many a long summer there and can gladly tick off the Italian women box, anyhow, going with my son and he would probably grass me up the little snitch to his mum if I left him in the apartment and went round Italy on a Vespa with a bella ragazza.

Was at lake Garda last year and it was stunning, have Como on the list to do. Boddies or a bottle of Amarone is a tough call though as I love both.
I’ve just done Como 2 nights,Florence 2 nights ,Rome 3 nights,1 night in Napoli flew over to Sicily for 5 nights with my daughter 2 nights left : ( absolutely brilliant time, hopefully come back with the Mrs when she’s back on her feet

I used to work in a field, lovely it was, but gave it up to work in a job that meant I travelled all over Europe at the EU’s expense spreading goodwill and knowledge. On two occasions I stayed in Palermo and although it is a bit faded round the edges, it retains a beauty I adored. The people, the food and yes the women were beautiful.

Being a sophisticated and charming raconteur I got on great with the people. The Lakes too. I holidayed in Stressa a lovely town on Majore and had a fabulous time. I love beer too and wine and malt whisky and woukd take my beautiful leather bound set of three The Balvennie small flasks 12, 15, and 18 year old Malts. If I got talking to someone and they were cool, I offered them a dram. The doors and hearts that opened. One guy who owned a bar asked what they were, I offered him a glass and he in return brought a lovely bottle of wine to the table. I love Italy and will return as soon as I get out of prison. Happy days.

Only thread I could find without starting a new one...Archaeologist me!

Heading to Bologna for 5 days on Friday - Does anyone have any must do's or restaurants, bars or experiences they have had there or around Bologna which they would recommend?

Italian motor tour - Looking for a trip to the Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati and Pagani factory/museums - Anyone been as you can mix and match I understand but seems a bit steep at Euro 300.00 for the day.

Thinking of popping down to San Marino by train but not sure on that as I think deep down just trying to add another country to the list ;-)
I hear the Ragu is good there...
