I think he’s been our best defender this season. Excellent at defending and playing out of the back.

he plays for the shirt as well, which is great.

dias has played a part, but it’s mainly down to stones. He’s put the hard work in and is showing everyone how good he is

Unreal turnaround, it actually beggars belief. There can’t have been many top-level players who have had a turnaround of this magnitude. He was at absolute rock-bottom and now he is 50% (in no way a junior partner) of arguably the best CB pairing in European football. Incredible.

The defending was as good as always and the goals were well deserved but his passing tonight was brilliant. Some of the balls he was pinging about out to the wings were pure class.

Best part of tonight was the camera on him after his second, all smiles and buzzing then he sees the ball reset and he instantly switches back into full concentration mode. As great of an influence Dias is on the whole back line you can't give Stones enough credit for taking responsibility and not throwing in the towel as so so many wanted him to do in the summer.

Wonder whether we can convince arsenal to give us £5million for him yet?
