Actually plays well every time we had to deploy him at RB. Assuring to know we have a wonderful RB backup in Johnny Boulders.

But i think he struggled last night and i feel that this position as RB he is not comfortable in.
On the 2 slips that he made in defending if you are up against a Salah/Haaland/Messi you will get punished.

That ball from cancelo was in the air for ages, did him no favors with it...He definitely didn't 'struggle' imo but with that being said, I hope Pep doesn't play him there in CL just for lack of experience..

He’s always one of our best attackers whenever he plays. Starting moves through being brave on the ball and with his passing. Lucky to have him!

Thought he played really well last night. Other then a bad ball to him and a slip thought he was great.

I thought he was just alright, did a job in an unfamiliar position but at times you could see very clearly its an unfamiliar position. If he's up against decent opponents that will attack I'm not convinced it's a better option than Cancelo and zinchenko. Worthwhile experiment though.

I don't really get why a slip would give any indication as to how well you can play a position. Shit happens. Gerrard wasn't a bad central midfielder.

Plus, none of Salah, Haaland or Messi play on the left wing.

Yeah there were some moments of real class and there were a small number of times it all looked awkward. But he's not really a RB by trade so it was a thoroughly decent attempt.
