Proper modern day centre half is our Johnie. He's had his tough times in his personal and professional life but learnt from them and come out the other side and proved his worth. Glad to see him back.

Whatever it is I hope everything works out well for the lad. Can’t wait to see him playing regularly for us again.

He looks more comfortable and assured than Laporte, and a better partner for Dias IMO.

We need to play that potentially world class partnership as often as possible.
Laporte's ability to hit those diagonal passes out wide is a great weapon but he also has a least one major mistake in every game, he gets caught so flat footed in nearly every game.

Laportes passing is excellent, but, again,Stones is no slouch in that dept either.

Its commonly the same defensive mistake he makes against any forward that knocks the ball past him, they either leave him floundering or he risks/receives at least a caution.

Still a fantastic centre half to have at our disposal.

Could well be because he is not vaxxed (?). If he is not vaxxed, the club could not to the world that he is not vaccinated.

I think it his missus who has made clear she is anti vaxx. Who knows, he could up sacrificing a place in a CL final squad if he does not get vaccinated.

He played in Andorra

There was a moment that summed up Stones quite well.

He's on the left tussling with someone (Zaha) and manages to win the ball back. Holds him off for a bit, and then when it looks like he's going to be crowded out plays a pass with his weaker foot into midfield taking out multiple Palace players in the process.
