5 | John Stones - 2024/25

We are not getting another defender in the summer and chances are we aren't going to sell all our seniors in one transfer window ffs either. You are going to be very disappointed in thinking that the Summer transfer window is going to be spectacular now Txiki Bergistian is retiring. He doesn't set the budget.
How will we replace the seven games a year we get from Johnny...

Callum Doyle has more than earnt his chance, he won't cost us anything either.

I have zero expectations for the transfer window, you can read my post history. However, Akanji, Dias and Ake have now all had their injury issues this season, wouldn't surprise me if CB is one of the first signings we make, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if we don't because we want to prioritise other positions.

Everyone knows we have a stockpile of money. Whether we see it or not hinges on the court case. It's not out of the question we spend big if the case goes well and City want to back Pep and Hugo in their first summer.

As it stands, even if we lost Stones, Walker and Gundogan we would be no worse off.

Still an experienced player you can't replace. Especially in one transfer window. Van der Ven isn't great and he too is injury prone.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays or goes. If it was my decision I would move on, he's given us everything and I think we have been more than fair. Pep has treated him like a son to an extent, many clubs would have sold him years ago. His body can't give us what we need. It's not fair on the squad to be carrying him and when he's fit, he comes back in for a few games and then he's out again.

Wtf has Van Der Ven got to do with anything, i don't rate him at all.

He would stay for me as the defence is the least of our concerns.

Plenty of supporters want him as a target.
