I can't see why they can't play both games on the same day, if City and United can do it with our hatred, with a much smaller police force, and bigger crowds.
I would imagine most Chelsea fans these days couldn't find Fulham on a map, never mind think of them as the arch enemy.
That's the crux of it for me. It's wrong to expect Fulham to move their game at such short notice and instead the police should be compromising and allowing both games to go ahead on the same day. The Chelsea/Fulham rivalry is way down on the list of other London rivalries and this seems to be more down to geography - the grounds are only about 1.5 miles apart - than anything else but if City and United can play at home on the same day surely these two can. The police even allowed Villa and West Brom to play at home on the same day in the FA Cup last week which is something they wouldn't normally do. I appreciate that Fulham's opponents that day are another London club (Charlton) but again, I wouldn't have thought that there was too big an issue between them and Chelsea compared to other London clubs.
