5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

I can't see why they can't play both games on the same day, if City and United can do it with our hatred, with a much smaller police force, and bigger crowds.

I would imagine most Chelsea fans these days couldn't find Fulham on a map, never mind think of them as the arch enemy.

That's the crux of it for me. It's wrong to expect Fulham to move their game at such short notice and instead the police should be compromising and allowing both games to go ahead on the same day. The Chelsea/Fulham rivalry is way down on the list of other London rivalries and this seems to be more down to geography - the grounds are only about 1.5 miles apart - than anything else but if City and United can play at home on the same day surely these two can. The police even allowed Villa and West Brom to play at home on the same day in the FA Cup last week which is something they wouldn't normally do. I appreciate that Fulham's opponents that day are another London club (Charlton) but again, I wouldn't have thought that there was too big an issue between them and Chelsea compared to other London clubs.

No league match either side of this one though is there.

I'd play the strong side in the FA Cup and a competitive team with a strong bench in the CL. We have a home tie on return and should have more than enough.

A loss to Chelsea won't help any momentum anyway.

Not the point, mate. If we win we get another game (or two with a replay) at least and maybe more. We also have Newcastle to rearrange. An FA Cup run, combined with a CL run, and we could have a nightmare schedule in the last few weeks of of the season. That's what could cost us the league, rather than the one game.

Gotcha

Winning games is the only way to get over tiredness. If we're still fighting on all fronts after Chelsea then I can see a domestic treble being achievable. I believe even a much changed team with some youngsters thrown in and players coming back from injury who need minutes will be enough to get past them.

Nobody has a clue what team we will put out for this, I would be pretty confident not even Manuel knows yet. Anything can happen between now & then given injuries/Suspensions, players form etc...

It doesn't matter when this is played, one things is for sure we have to utilise the squad as best we can, this is where Manuel can prove all the doubters wrong, manage the squad right over the next few weeks & we could be on for our greatest ever season... get it wrong & it could all go tit's up well before easter!

It's looking like the 4pm on the Sunday so pelle should fuck the FA off and just take all the Lads who need the fitness, the fringe players and the EDS...

Definitely, Chelsea will try anything including kicking the shit out of us if they need to as the FA Cup is realistically the only thing they can win.

No players who will be starting in Kiev will be in this side if it is on the Sunday and rightly so. The Kiev game is huge for the club, the FA cup isn't. Its more a competition fans like than anything else.

Again FA and media try to make it as hard as possible for us to continue in whatever competition we are in. We should be used to it by now.
So Chelsea play PSG on Tuesday, can easily fligh back with little traveltime, train on Wednesday en Thursdag to prepare for the game on Friday. But no, it's better to let us play Chelsea on Sunday 4pm for us to fly back after the game to Manchester only to fly long distance to Kiev where the team can prepare on Tuesday on unknown soil for the game on Wednesday. Including a League Cup final coming up afterwards. Oh how FA wants to drop 4th spot from CL-football, us not to win 4 competitions, and let their ears hang to the BBC who knows a Sunday kick off will bring more people watching tv than on a Fridaynight i.e. money.

And now it all depends on Fulham moving their game to an earlier kick-off.
