6 games in 19 days

I think we can cope. We will sacrifice the Carling Cup by playing Wayne Brigde, Nedum Onuoha, Kolo Toure etc. None of the big guns will play that game. Yes, we will be knocked out, but who cares? I don't.

Against Newcastle this weekend, we will rest a lot of key players, but we are still capable of winning. Likewise against Norwich at home.

Tough games, but there are 3 in there that allow us to rest Silva, Aguero and co, in preparation for the others.

still think we'll be unbeaten in the league by the time we go to stamford bridge

We've got great depth in most positions precisely to cope with this kind of fixture congestion. No doubt we will drop the occasional points though.
Personally there are two things that concern me slightly.
The Napoli fixture which will be very tough and potentially crucial from a psychological point of view going out of the CHampions league at the group stages could dent our confidence.
The other is our reserve Centre backs, I have not seen much of Kolo this season and hope he could help out but Savic looks like he still very definately a work in progress rather than a reliable back up at the top level. I would not like to have to use him in the Chumps league or agaisnt tough premier league opposition.

A few years ago (ignoring the Munich game as we'd not be in the comp) we'd be shitting it with a run of games like this and hioping for 2 wins a draw and not getting any real stuffings.

19 Nov 15:00 H Newcastle United Premier League
22 Nov 19:45 A Napoli Champions League
27 Nov 16:00 A Liverpool Premier League
29 Nov 20:00 A Arsenal Carling Cup
03 Dec 15:00 H Norwich City Premier League
07 Dec 19:45 H Bayern Munich Champions League
12 Dec 20:00 A Chelsea Premier League
18 Dec 16:10 H Arsenal Premier League

Now I'm relaxed enough to know that if we do lose the odd game we'll still be well in the mix and have every chance of staying where we are.

The team against Bayern depends on whether we can still win the group.

Winning the group will make life easier in last 16.

If Rags/Arsenal and Chelsea win their groups then Real Madrid and Barcelona become real possibilities with a 50% chance of getting one of those.

I know you have to play em at some point but I would prefer it not to be last 16.

Having said that I think winning in Napoli will be hard enough and we are still only 50/50 to go through

I don't agree with this. If we have already qualified then we need to field the weakest team we can against Bayern. 2 season defining games either side of the Bayern game. Plus, isn't playing the biggest teams on the biggest stage what it is all about?

Beat Napoli and play 2nd string @ Arsenal Carling Cup least of our priorities. Once Napoli is out of the way and hopefully won concentrate on picking up as many points in the league games as we can. Play a 2nd string against Bayern in champions league to give a few of them a feel for it. I think the worst thing we could do is draw against Napoli meaning we have to go all out against bayern and hope villarreal get something out of Napoli I can't see that we must beat Napoli.

I think the first PL defeat of the season will be away at Liverpool.

Can see it being a game similar to last year at their place, although i dont think there will be a 3 goal winning margin, will be something a lot closer.
